MiniComi
Sorry for the late update, had to take care of a few things.
Anyways, I had a great time at MiniComi. For my first convention I thought I did pretty well and actually managed to make a little profit lol. Though my math skills can still use a bit of work :/ Good thing I was sharing a table with my girlfriend who was able to catch my mistakes. Though I feel sorry for her since her Princess Mononoke print didn't sell as well as she had hoped it would.
Didn't sell any llama prints, but that wasn't a shock. Next convention I will do a kitty version....because....kitties. But the Totoro prints sold well along with the Totoro wooden bookmarks which I will be making more of for next time since they were such a big hit. Even my last minute random magnet idea worked so I will be adding Totoro themed magnets to it soon.
Next time I would like my charms to sell better so I will be adjusting the price and I'm thinking of selling them online too so if anyone is interested let me know here or on DA and I'll go ahead and set something up.
I also have 3 out of the 12 wooden bookmarks left (the one with the two little guys on the lily pad). If your interested in them contact me. Otherwise they will be available along with the new ones at the next con I go to.
I also want to thank my friends Chibi-Rinku and Mikochi for helping me out by answering all my questions about what to do for my first convention. Thanks Guys :D
And for those of you who asked during MiniComi which convention I would be at next...I'm not sure XD But when I do know I will make a post about it here and also on DA.

Update Time
I don't want it to appear like I have abandoned my blog so I'm going to try and get back into updating it more frequently.
Honestly not much has happened after completing my grad film. I have submitted it to the Ottawa Animation Festival and I will be submitting it to one in Calgary soon. I don't expect it to get into either one but you never know. I would really like to just put it up online in a few different places because it may have a better chance of finding an audience. But I will hold back on that for now and wait about a year before I go do that. When my film is online I will post it here.
I have been trying to rid myself of the art block I've had since 2nd year university. It feels like it is slowly lifting, but as soon as I think that, its back and I'm sitting here doing nothing. I've been taking a bit of a break since finishing my film to see if that would help, and to a certain extent it has, but it is going to be a slow process. Hopefully I will snap out of it while I update my portfolio this summer.
Anyways on a high note I won an honourable mention and a cash prize for a contest I entered earlier this year. The "Historic Steveston Contest" was launched to find an artistic pattern to use in a new scramble crosswalk planned for an intersection in Steveston Village: http://www.richmond.ca/news/city/stevestonscrambleartwinners.htm
And now for something completely different... I'm going to be selling work at UBC at an anime convention. MiniComi: http://minicomi.orangesanctuary.com/MiniComiInfo.html I will post some of what I will be selling once I finish them.
